Well, the previous days were “idle” compared to today. We started out relatively early (like 9:00 AM) to head to the “Delta de l’Erbe” the delta of the Erbe river through Catalonia. We pick up renowned Chef Toni Kru along the way and drive past the vast rice paddys to  go to a “rice factory” .

There we learn a lot about the rice that is grown and produced there.

We are told that the Bomba rice is the best at absorbing the flavours in which it is cooked without going soggy. It is available for purchase in Australia
