BTW: I have not mentioned the church bells. Every 15 minutes the bells ring once for 15 past, twice for 30 past, three times for 45 and fours times on the hour. Then immediately another set of bells chimes the hour e.g. 4 times for 4:00 AM/PM. And just to make sure, 2 minutes later, it repeats the hour chime. I don’t think that the bells every woke us up but when you are awake you get that “time reporting” until you fall back to sleep again.

After breakfast we leave Cal Compte, our home for the last five days, and Torroja. We stop at Siurana for a look around and morning tea. Siurana was the last stronghold of the Moors that had lived in the area for a few hundred years. Rumour has it that the beautiful Moor queen did not want to be captured so she jumped on her white horse and jumped over a steep cliff to her death. The horse tried to stop it and left a big indent in the rock before going over.

We go to a local restaurant for morning tea. The Chef normally does not do that sort of thing but did for us.

Sadly, all good things must end. So we say goodbye to Rachel, who has been absolutely marvelous for the five days, and head back to Barcelona.

The trip back to Barcelona had a little incident where an oil light came on and we had to stop for a while. But all appeared OK and we returned to the Hotel without incident. I must make special mention of the Bus Company who provided us with special transport. Our driver for the last several days, Jordy, was really good and took a number of photos of us etc. Three Cheers for Jordy – which I lead as we got back to Ohla Hotel.
