We hit the Metro again to go to the Smithsonian. The first thing we notice when arriving there:

Many, many food trucks

We go to the Air and Space museum. It is fascinating as usual but after a while I get quite tired. We leave the Smithsonian and while there were good intentions to go elsewhere, we end up having lunch again. We go to McCormick and Schmick’s. It is another good lunch.

This is a rather unusual dish for me with its description: Wild Mushrooms, Asparagus, Hazelnuts and Fresh Raspberries in a Lemon Cream Sauce Served with Steamed Rice.

Julie heads out to prance around town again. Gary goes to the Ford Theatre, where Lincoln was killed. He returns and we go back to the apartment to pack up our goods and chattels and have a bit of a rest.

When Julie comes back She recommends that we go to a local place Annie’s Steak House. So we do and the food is pretty good and service fine too.

As we look around we notice that other than a Wife of a married couple nearby and Julie, there are no other Women in the restaurant. We find out later from Julie-anne that Dupont Circle, where we are staying, is the Gay capital of DC and Annie’s is the home of 60 year old gay men. JA had been there many times before with her gay friends. Her report is exactly what we saw with several “couples” openly making out there.
