We need to get on the road soon as we have a plane flight to catch back in Las Vegas. Sally has prepared us a nice takeaway Breakfast although we do eat most of it there. We say goodbye to our very nice Hostess and her fine house, oh and the Dog and Cat too. Sally very kindly allowed us to print our boarding passes for the flight later today. We make our way in good time with me not having any driving troubles this time. We get to Kingman and I blow a big chance to go to In and Out, thinking that I had seen other choices directly on the road without jumping off the freeway – WRONG.
So we drive and drive with no logical rest or food place in sight. We see these funny, hand made signs along the road advertising Chloride Arizona. So we decide we will go there. It is a 5 mile deviation from the main road up into the hills. Well, what a decision that was – it was an old silver mining down with not many mines left and all the people live in Caravan parks. Here are some of the sites.

One thing you can say, one would have to go a long way to get an experience like Chloride. Any way, we keep driving and go over our bridge again, which we still could not see as a bridge. We have some spare time so I drive back down to Hoover Dam and up to the other side.

We drive onto Vegas, get gas for the car, return the car, get over to terminal 3, check-in, go through security and still have a lot of time up our sleeves. We decide we will have a nice lunch with a bottle of wine.

We are cruising along when Julie all of a sudden notices that our plane has nearly finished boarding. For some reason my phone’s clock was an hour off, I thought we had tons of time. Any way, the gate is just across the way and we get on the plane. A nice, uneventful flight to SFO. Brother Tom and Wife Pat pick us up from SFO. On the way we cross over another interesting Bridge:

Since we had a late lunch, decide we will eat at their home rather than go to a local restaurant. So, we go to a supermarket and pick-up some goodies.

After some nice wines and feeling tired after another long drive earlier in the day, it is time for me to hit the sack.
