1 April, 2016 – Group Reunion at Movida Aqui

It had been long discussed with little action but on April 1, a group of us Fools got together for a reunion at Movida Aqui. Most of the tour guests appeared but Frank was unavailable, having just returned from Bali, and Suze and Josh were overseas.

With large groups, Movida requires a set menu which we were happy to proceed with. Frank had organised a glass of Sherry each and we ordered one or two bottles of white, red and rose. Then the food started to come out.

When there were changes of plates we organised some “people shuffle” so that the group could intermix. Here are some of the small groups:

Time passed by very quickly with lots of things to say by most of the group. These next photos are two hours later – we were in the “early shift” of sittings at Movida but I guess Frank organised it in advance for us not to be thrown out.

It was a great night and, given the size of the bill, we might have had a couple of (dozen) wines each. It was resolved that we would organise further reunions with perhaps the next one to be scheduled in 6 months time. Gracias to all who attended especially for those under-privileged that came from NSW.

As an aside, the next day I watched an episode of Rick Stein in Spain. It was based partially in Seville, the start of our tour, What was noticeable was:

* Rick meeting Frank in a restaurant
* The same Flamenco dancer we had seen although in a much more crowded scene
* Rick in the same Tapas bar which was one we went to on the first night of the tour.

Like Anthony Bordain all they know to do is to follow us around! Hasta la vista.
