Yes, we are to commence our road trip down the coast to end up finally at LAX before we fly home. The first stop is Barbara’s place where she has made Brunch.
Of course, I was forced to eat most of the Bacon since others would not. An way, we get on the Road – Barbara, Pat and Daisy in Barbara’s car and Tom, Julie and me in our rental car. We drive down to Monterrey Bay with little issue other than at one point Tom is following the wrong car and hence goes the wrong way. That gets sorted out, what did we do before we had mobile/cell phones? We arrive at Pacific Grove which is between Monterrey and Carmel, to quite a stunning house where we stay for two nights. The cleaner is still there so we can’t go in. We park the cars and go for a walk along the beach.
We head back to the house after the end of the trail. The cleaner has finished and left so we are able to go in. It is a mdern place, two levels, lots of room. We have not brought much wine but have a few glasses whil Julie goes out for another one of her long walks, from which She eventually brings back more bottles of wine. A short nap for me and others.
Our dinner reservation is at Passionfish – the number one rated restaurant in Pacific Grove. We leave Daisy in the car in the garage and walk up to Passionfish.
It was another good meal. We walk back to the House to greet Daisy. Instead of going to bed, we watch “Return of the King” on their massive TV / sound system. This adds another 3+ hours to the day, before finally hitting the sack.
