Yes, the photos and most of the words have come from Geoff Nicoll who travelled to the South Australian Outback with Wife Amelia and Sons Lucas and Thomas.

“We have just spent the school holidays on a trip to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia and I thought that I should share a couple of photos of the culinary highlight of the trip.

Parachilna is a tiny town just north of the Flinders Ranges, with one pub (The Prairie Hotel) and not much else.

The Prairie Hotel is well-known in South Oz for their “Feral Antipasto” comprising smoked ‘roo, camel mettwurst, emu pate, goats cheese and bush tomato chutney’

Amelia and I shared a “Feral Antipasto” for lunch and the boys each had Camel Sausage Roll with chips. We all felt that our meals were a highlight of the trip (and there were plenty of highlights).”
